Brief Description

Free unwanted medication disposal is available for all types of medications. Businesses and medical professionals are not eligible to use the program.

San Luis Obispo County Integrated Waste Management Authority in partnership with County law enforcement agencies.


Funding

San Luis Obispo County Integrated Waste Management Authority contributed the necessary funds to purchase the drop-boxes and supplies. Area law enforcement agencies provide the labor and transportation of the collected medications to an approved incineration facility.
