Brief Description |
Through an EPA grant, non-profit ARCHS (Area Resources for Community and Human Services) has partnered with the St. Louis College of Pharmacy and the local Schnucks Pharmacy chain to offer an RxMEDS disposal campaign for the calendar year 2008 at 20 locations in the greater St. Louis area, pharmacists are documenting types of drugs collected for the EPA, they are not accepting controlled substances or medical sharps; there is no law enforcement participation, returned pharmaceuticals will be incinerated.
This program was active in 2008 and has now ended. ARCHS is considering quarterly or biannual events. Information will be updated as it becomes available.
